Canyoning
Canyoning consists of descending a watercourse, usually set within steep and narrow terrain, on foot or by swimming.
Along the route, participants overcome natural obstacles using abseiling, jumps, and natural slides. All activities take place in properly equipped streams. Before starting, participants receive a safety briefing, including essential information, basic training, equipment usage guidelines, and an introduction to the guides’ qualifications and experience.
Difficulty: Easy
Duration: Ranges between 4 to 5h
Season: All year (subject to changes due to weather conditions)
Includes: Certified guides, liability and personal accident insurance, transfers, personal protective equipment (PPE)*, and snack (one bottle of water and one energy bar)
Maximum number of participants: Up to 6 people
Minimum age: 7 years (Rappel Challenger) and 15 years (Canyoning)
Note: Participants are responsible for bringing the following:
- Swimsuit or shorts and towel
- Mountain boots or waterproof footwear
- A change of clothes and shoes for after the activity
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):
For canyoning, this includes helmets, harnesses, ropes, carabiners, descenders (figure eights), slings, maillons, cowstails, wetsuits, and other technical accessories.
For the Rappel Challenger, the equipment includes helmets, harnesses, ropes, carabiners, descenders, slings, maillons, cowstails, and other necessary accessories.
All PPE complies with the standards required by the European Commission (EC) and the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA).
